Tension Soul or Get To The Good which is what I wound up calling this song. It is the wildest track on my whole Bandcamp page and one of many finished sessions recorded but not yet mixed laying around in the studio. Time to let it fly.
Years ago i remembered the writer Oswald Chambers say, : If we give way to self-pity and indulge in the luxury of misery, we banish God’s riches from our own lives and hinder others from entering into His provision". I had this bombastic intro riff and began to right some thoughts down here it is
This song speaks of turning points. Moments of getting out from "down in myself" to "Get To The Good". The water for me in this song is the promises in God's Word. Heart of this song is, man just get me to the river of Gods love! Its a reoccurring turning point i face often through my day day after day. But Its not a drag though it's actually a blessing.
Moving back to Los Angeles I've reconnected with many of my good friends who i had really missed. Living so close now to these friends , I called on the insanely talented Blair Sinta and Jon Button to bring some love on Get To the Good.
Much thanks to Blair for opening his studio and bringing some hot drumming and Jon Button for crushing the bass getting all1968 Monerey Pop with me.
